Using Zotero, references can be inserted using either Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, Google Docs and Zoho Writer (NEW).

Inserting using all softwares look almost the same, however reference insertion in two softwares is covered here:

  1. Microsoft Word
  2. Google Docs

Benefit of using Zotero

This could be any unique detail added to the library when the reference was added.

For example (bolded identifiers are commonly used),

  1. Author name (any author, first, last and anything in between)
  2. Title
  3. DOI
  4. PMID
  5. PMCID
  6. Publication
  7. Item Type
  8. Journal Name
  9. ISSN number

etc.
